Once upon a time (when Mo was 4), Mo’s brother came home with a beautiful, glistening golf trophy...and she has been chasing trophies of her own ever since. Her quest began in her driveway, hitting countless balls under her father’s instruction into a homemade net. Mo quickly started to collect trophies, and by winning the most prestigious junior tournament of its time, the Junior World Japan Cup, she won a really big crystal trophy…and got to meet the Crown Prince of Japan.
Mo has an exciting schedule to look forward to this year on the LPGA! There will be 28 total events, over the span of 10 months, kicking off in Australia and ending in Florida. One bonus addition to the schedule this year is a stop in the Bahamas, yippee! Mo is already qualified for three of the five majors; the Kraft, the LPGA Championship, and the US Open. She will have the opportunity to qualify for the Evian and the British Open (at the much revered St. Andrews), through this year’s money list as the season progresses. The end of the season events in Asia will also be based on this year’s money list. In addition, 90 percent of the TV coverage coming up will be live. Good luck, Mo!
